Bahamas Vacations - Abaco is Closer Than You Think

Bahamas Vacations - Abaco is Closer Than You Think

Author: Morgan Engle

Nowadays, Caribbean destinations are becoming more and more of a viable option for vacationers. The Bahamas is an excellent example of this, as the nation consists of 700 islands, and is conveniently located less than 200 miles off of Florida's East coast. The Bahamas are tailored towards tourism, so its islands are friendly and very accommodating.

Abaco, which is located in the Northeastern corner of the Bahamas, offers much more than other islands with its diverse cays and welcoming people. Wherever you go in Abaco, you will find something new and interesting. Each island is unique, and hopping from one island to another is very popular.

Recently, the islands have become more accessible due to the mini boom in the amount of air carriers serving the area. Most travelers reach Abaco via Florida, which they arrive to on larger commercial airliners. Airports in Florida, from as South as Key West and North up to Jacksonville, offer flights to Abaco. Marsh Harbour International (MHH) and Treasure Cay (TCB) are the two major airports in Abaco. Marsh Harbour is considered the main airport, because of its central location. Depending on location, weather, and aircraft, flight times will vary from 30 to 90 minutes.

A few things to consider when flying to Abaco are that the airplanes are generally smaller, so pack light. This means bring only what you need, and keep baggage weight to a minimum, as many of the airlines have strict weight restrictions (usually 30 to 40lbs per passenger). Also, it is recommended that you pack an extra set of clothes in your carry-on in the event your bag gets misplaced or left behind due to weight limitations. This ensures that you will have a change of clothing, no matter what. If your bag gets lost or left behind for any reason, contact you airline and, in most cases, it will be sent over on the next available flight and directed your way. Do not let this scare you, as it is general knowledge and common sense to an island traveler.

You will find the short jump to Abaco very enjoyable as you fly over islands, and clear blue waters. It is very exciting to see what is in store for you before you land. The Abacos are a true paradise, and quite different from most other Caribbean destinations. The islands are equipped with all of the modern conveniences of home, but the pace is slower than that of the mainland, and the locals have a more relaxed mind set. Although this may take a day or two to get used to, don't sweat it. You are on vacation, so slow down and take it all in.

Abaco is still considered a secret destination because it is less traveled, but it is not hard to make arrangements to get there. Airfare can be purchased online, or through your local travel agent. Abaco really stands out as one of the best places to visit in the Bahamas, so with this vacation destination within reach, it is time to start planning!

Ating EXPERIENCE THE RED SAND

by: Genrev07

An adventure to the vast vicinity of Riyadh’s famous “The Red Sand”. Known for its red and soft

powder like elements “Sand”. A God creation as I may say’ like one of Philippines Chocolate Hills in Bohol, there may be no grass covering the surface and trees to make it more earthly, but the fact that it is known for its red color sand that makes tourist wonders how it filled all its surroundings making the place different from the other neighboring mountains, indeed the excitement to tour the place is a fascinating experienced, not only of its beauty but with the other stuff you can do to explore Red Sand. We went there month of December winter days perfect time for strolling and adventures. There you can just take walk and feel the surface as well as its beauty which pleases my eyes or you can ride by a four wheels motorcycle rented along side of the road you have to make your choice anyway.

I choose to take the motorcycle co’z for me it would be fun joining other tourist enjoying their ride. As the wind gazes toward your face the split of different sound makes the whole place a racing tract joined together as others climbs every mountain top using bikes and some big wheel cars to, well that makes it more exciting exploring other things with the bikes. And not only that, while we’re so busy tripping all the place I went through this little accident that I guess part of my adventure, I could hardly see those mountains that are really not cone like perfectly shape as the others I run over the edge which doesn’t have the same elevation of A to Z ground, my bike thrown out to the air with me left behind and falls to the ground with the bike on top of me, hahaha!! Great isn’t it wow I just don’t believe that I never felt any bad feeling or pain, God must have been with me all throughout the day hahaha!. After which me and the other went on for a rest and while we were resting I’ve watch all over the place and when you look up towards the sky the beautiful scenery of heaven will flash upon your eyes, the feather like clouds the dazzling light which reflects beneath those feathers revealing those rainbow colours the sun that touches the ground and the whirling wind that kisses all things joined by the Red Sand which make you feel relax and unwind. Truly a great and splendid experienced a place to have fun and adventures there by called “The Red Sand”.

I would like to thank Genrev07 to wind up our Fun and adventure in Red Sand.

The Myth About Judas Cave!

The Myth About Judas Cave!

Have you ever been to Judas Cave? As what the Filipinos described of that place. For some believe that this cave was the hiding place of Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus Christ disciples whom betrayed him, for several months before he hang himself. After the death of Christ Judas escaped from Jerusalem and went to Saudi Arabia for hiding.

Well I can’t find any historical record of Judas Cave. As for me it just a myth. May I say it just a folk tale or urban legend story. If you have any record about Judas Cave I appreciate most if you could share it with me and the world.

The fact is that there is a cave in the heart of Al Hasa, Saudi Arabia. After a four long hours drive from Riyadh city we finally reached Judas Cave. Before we arrived at the cave there are piles of natural carved stones which look so amazing. As if you see giant mushrooms made of stone that guarding the surrounding.

The cave entrance is two meters wide and several meters high. It took us ten to fifteen minutes exploring the cave, of course including the picture taking. You can feel the cold breeze air inside the cave. Finally as we went out the hot air that approached us. We really enjoyed the place. It is a nice tourist attraction. As I have heard that the local government of Al Hasa plans to improve the area to boost tourism.

Oh Wow! How great and beautiful of God’s creation.
